You suffering is not a curse by God

A quite prevalent idea exists in some practiced beliefs, that if you have a mental illness, it is sought as “a test from God to see how much you can endure”, or “a calamity/ curse/ hardship” that you are sentenced to live with for the rest of your life, and all you can really do is ‘be patient’

If that is the meaning of patience for you, I would rather be ‘impatient’ to my pain. Because if anything, God wants you to passionately and very, slowly, restfully, believe in healing.

Mental illness is not a strange happening, it is as any physical illness.

You may need medication.
You may need psychotherapy.
You may need to practice some sort of self-care.

You need attention to what your body is trying to tell you.
You need everything, EXCEPT people’s false definition of ‘enduring’ mental illness,
or accepting mental illness as something we have to be ‘dreamily patient’ with, as something we have to be unfortunately stuck with for the rest of our lives, or most ironically, as a ‘curse’ from God. — the true definition of God and His hope and love for you is that which no one defined correctly to you.

God wants you to passionately and very, slowly, restfully, believe in healing.
